Fellow members,
Hopefully, you are all starting to enjoy the start of the golfing season, even though the weather has not been that gracious and inviting. The course, under the guidance of John and his team, is starting to progress and has been looking spectacular over the past few weeks, especially with the gorse in full bloom.
As we look forward to the Scottish Golf Pre-Qualifying Men’s amateur event on the 25th-26th May, John and the team are working diligently to ensure we present a prestigious golf course like St Nicholas in the best condition possible at this stage of the season. On that note, I would encourage members to walk the course and enjoy the spectacle of a very international field, trying to qualify.
In the meantime, your Committee and the management team are proactively progressing both agreed major projects as well as routine maintenance across the estate. I wanted to take this opportunity, to provide a clear update and understanding of where we are regarding the progress of these activities.
Enclosed is a link to the latest progress report for your information . Please note, this is NOT the definitive list of outstanding projects or maintenance tasks, but a timely reflection of progress to-date.
My intention is to ensure we create a culture of open communication going forward; therefore I intend to issue regular communications on at least a quarterly basis.
Many thanks
Raymund
(Captain)
