Dress Code

DRESS CODE

The dress code does not apply to children under 10 years of age.

Dress must be of a smart and acceptable standard at all times.  Clothes worn on the Course should be specifically designed for the purpose of golf.  Hoodies are permissible on the Course but considered outdoor garments and NOT allowed to be worn in any public room.  Everyone using the Clubhouse must be appropriately dressed at all times.  For the avoidance of doubt, any item of clothing displaying a football club badge, logo, emblem, motif or name is NOT considered appropriate dress.

Smart denims may be worn in the Clubhouse, with the exception of the Tom Morris Room, but NOT on the Course at any time.

Combat style clothing, cargo style trousers or shorts with external pockets and flip flops are NOT allowed either on the Course or in the Clubhouse.

Shorts may be worn if they are of a tailored type and may be worn with sports or trainer socks.

Shirts must have a collar or be of a polo type or turtle neck.

Proper golf shoes must be worn on the Course and on the practice putting green.  Soft spiked golf shoes may be worn in the Charlie Hunter Bar.  Golf shoes of any type are NOT allowed in the John Gray Lounge or the Tom Morris Room.  Flat soled trainer-type shoes are allowed throughout the Clubhouse except in the Tom Morris Room.

Clothing must NOT be hung over chairs in any public room.

Grip bags and outdoor garments i.e. hats, rainwear, umbrellas, coats etc. must NOT be taken into any public room.

The changing of clothes or shoes in the car park is NOT permitted.
