Our desire for firm surfaces extends to all areas of the golf course, not just tees and greens.  The appeal of traditional links golf courses like ours has always been their firmness, tight lies and ball roll.  That's why, you may have noticed, we've recently been top dressing the fairways.  Over 100 tonnes of sand has been spread on the fairways during October.  This practice will continue going forward.

Essential aeration work has started on all our tees using our new Air2 G2 machine.  Compressed air is injected approximately 8 inches deep, resulting in minimal surface disruption.  This practice relieves compaction, helps reduce surface water and aids root growth.
