Clubhouse

The ClubhouseThere can be few clubhouses in the world which are sited as close to the sea as this one. Built originally in 1892 it has been modernised and upgraded over the years to provide a traditional, relaxing and comfortable clubhouse with spectacular views.

All areas of the Clubhouse are open to visitors but the Club does operate a dress code on the course and in the Clubhouse. Basically, clothing specifically designed for playing golf is acceptable but please check our dress code for more detail. Changing is not permitted in the Car Park.

Lounge

The Mixed Lounge

In the Mixed Lounge, Casual Bar and Dining Room snacks, meals and drinks can be enjoyed in comfort. The Tom Morris Room (pictured at the top of the page) is for gentlemen only and a jacket, shirt and tie must be worn at all times – this room reflects the traditional and timeless values of a club with a history stretching back to 1851.

Dining

The Dining Room

Groups who visit can frequently find that they can be provided with exclusive use of the Dining Room for their pre- or post- match meal and presentation of prizes etc. The Club is more than happy to arrange for this but the Secretary requires to know this when you book. The Dining Room can comfortably accommodate 50.

If you would like more information about the high standard of food which is prepared and served by Grant Hood and his team, please click on the attachment at the foot of this page.

Most areas of the clubhouse enjoy panoramic views of the Ayrshire coast, Ailsa Craig and the island of Arran.

Golf Shop

There is a golf shop at the course which is well stocked with an extensive range of goods. Trolleys can be hired at the shop.
